Apple crisp is a simple and easy to cook dessert made with apples, flour and oats making it a healthy dessert. You can have this dessert on its own or can serve it with ice cream and fruits. Personally, I prefer serving with ice cream and fruits. My kids find this absolutely delicious and filling as well.
In this recipe, you can use any variety of apples. I have used Granny Smith apples for this recipe, you can also try it with tinned apples. If using tinned apples, you can reduce the cooking time to 25 minutes. I have used quick cooking oats to speed up the process. Addition of ground cinnamon adds flavor to this dessert.
