This avocado banana raspberry smoothie is a perfect substitute for breakfast. If you desire, you can prepare this smoothie the night before and refrigerate it. In this recipe I have used plain milk and yoghurt but you can also substitute them with almond milk or soya milk for a dairy free and vegan version.
After blending the smoothie if you find it very thick, you can add more milk. Sugar or honey can be used to sweeten this smoothie. I do not add sweeteners as I prefer the natural sweetness of the fruits.
Time to quench our thirst or hunger…..I would say……
Ingredients
- 100g Raspberries, fresh or frozen
- ½ Avocado
- 1 Banana
- 1 cup plain Yogurt
- ½ tsp. Vanilla essence
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp. Honey or Sugar (optional)
Method
- Peel and chop the banana, de-seed the avocado and scoop it out into a blender.
- Add raspberries to the blender, followed by yoghurt and milk.
- Pour in the vanilla essence.
- Add sweetener to taste, if you are using it. This is optional. I prefer the natural sweetness of the fruits.
- Blend everything together. Add in crushed ice before blending, if you prefer it chilled.
- Delicious avocado banana raspberry smoothie is ready to serve!!
