Banana berry smoothie is a quick and yummy smoothie which can be made with left over bananas and any type of berries. Always we have left over bananas at home and I end up making a smoothie with left over ripe fruits, an easy way, I would say, to prevent fruits rotting further or throwing them away.
Smoothies are an anytime favourite indulgence for my little boy, Rohit. He personally favours the blueberries and the strawberries. I am yet to come across a smoothie he hasn’t liked. Adding mint leaves to this smoothie enhances its flavour.
Now let’s get started on the smoothie…..
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana, cut into pieces
- 2 cups of berries – blueberries (fresh or frozen), strawberries (quartered), or other berries
- 1/2 cup crushed ice
- 2 cups plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 fresh mint leaves (optional)
Directions
- Put all the ingredients into a blender.
- Blend the ingredients until smooth.
- Serve chilled in a tall glass. Enjoy!!
