This chocolate mousse recipe is a quick and easy recipe that contains no eggs or gelatine, and is suitable for any occasion. It tastes great when served with fruit or marshmallows.
This post if for all you kids out there who want to start cooking. I’m going to take you through how to make the best and easiest chocolate mousse ever. This mousse was made by my 12 year old son, Rohit. Well….it doesn’t look very appealing but it definitely tasted yumm….

Ingredients
- 100g bar good quality plain chocolate
- 50ml milk
- 200ml double cream
- 100g strawberries, sliced (optional)
- Few marshmallows, for topping (optional)
Method
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water.
- Heat the milk until boiling, then whisk in melted chocolate. Leave to cool.
- Whip the cream until soft peak stage, and then fold into cooled chocolate.
- Reserve 6 strawberries for decoration, place remainder into 6 serving ramekins or small bowls. You can skip the strawberries if you want plain chocolate mousse with no fruit.
- Evenly spoon in the chocolate mixture.
- Decorate the top of the dessert with the marshmallows / sliced strawberries, as per your taste.
- Serve delicious chocolate mousse.
