Onion bhajis are spicy, crispy Indian fritters served as an evening snack. These are the ultimate Indian comfort foods made from onions and gram flour. These bhajis make a perfect tea time snack, especially on a cold rainy day. You do not need any special ingredients to make these bhajis, just a few spices, onions and oil for frying. Onion bhajis can be served with tomato ketchup or coriander chutney, but be warned these are seriously addictive.
Let’s get started….

- 1 tsp. Turmeric powder
- 2 tsps. Curry powder
- Coriander leaves, a few
- 10 tbsps. Gram flour
- Water, as needed
- Oil for frying
- Salt and ground black pepper, as required
Method
- Take the onion slices in a bowl.
- Sprinkle with some salt and mix well with your hand to separate the onion slices.
- Stir in the turmeric powder, curry powder and coriander leaves.
- Next stir in the gram flour and mix by hand.
