This is a simple and easy to make thoran. Raw papaya is the main ingredient for papaya thoran. Making different curries for rice is always a challenge. I was looking out for some different veggies to have with rice and to my favour got a raw papaya from the market. However it tastes almost same as cabbage thoran.
Papaya is extremely nutritious and is a rich source of anti-oxidant nutrients such as beta-carotene (which is what gives it the orange color; green papaya does not contain this carotene), vitamin A and C and flavonoids, B vitamins, folate and pantothenic acid.
