Steamed sweet potato, also called madhura kizhanga puzhangiyath is a nutritious evening snack. Mulaku chammanthi or coconut chutney is a perfect accompaniment for these steamed sweet potatoes. These chutneys taste best only when fresh. I really love this sweet and spicy combination. These chutneys go really well with kappa puzhungiyathu/ kappa puzhukku also. Sweet potato is one of the most nutritious vegetables around with loads of antioxidants. That gives you one more reason to try this steamed sweet potato recipe.
