Thrimadhuram is a prasadam usually made in temples for neivedhyam. It is also known as panchamrutham and can be prepared in different ways. For sweetness you can use sugar, jaggery or honey. Honey can be drizzled on top of it also. In this recipe I have used bananas, dry black grapes (raisins), cashews, dates, kalkkandam (sugar candy), ghee and jaggery. In temples, nenthrapazhams are used for making thrimadhuram. But being in a country where no nenthrapazhams are available, I am using morris (Robusta) variety of bananas.
Made as an offering at temples during festival times, thrimadhuram is truly an elixir by taste. This mouth-watering prasadam leaves us craving for more. Make thrimadhuram for this pooja with this 5-minute recipe of mine……
