Tomato chutney is an amazing chutney, a blend of sweet, spice and tanginess of tomatoes. It is a perfect accompaniment for South Indian breakfast options like Idli and Dosa. You can try it with flat breads also. This recipe can be made in many ways, with or without onions, chilli powder or red chillies.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Tomatoes, chopped
- 2 tsps. Ginger
- 1 tsp. Garlic, minced
- 2 tbsps. Coriander leaves, chopped
- 2 tsps. chilli powder
- 1 tbsp. Sugar
- Salt to taste
Method
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the tomatoes, ginger, garlic, cilantro, chili powder sugar and salt. Simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until thick and saucy, about 10 minutes.
